Where To Get Blog Traffic

This article has been brought to you by Kris Beus webmaster of how to earn money free and paid surveys.

One of the slowest online activities is watching a new blog become a successful blog. This does not happen overnight and will usually take a couple years to accomplish. It is easy to tell who will be left in the dust and who has what it takes. The most important aspect of a successful blogger is one who loves to blog rather than blogging for money. If you don’t enjoy what you are doing then you will more than likely be gone within a year or two well before the required time to get noticed and build your blogs brand. If you are willing to blog day after day and still enjoy doing it after the first year as long as you complete a few extra basic marketing tactics you will see your blog succeed.

The first and most important thing about running a successful blog is keeping a fresh supply of innovative content. You will want to post at a minimum daily the more the better as long as the content is good. If you are able to create content on this large of a scale then your link building and branding will need less work. When creating content be thoughtful of your reader as well as writing what you would write about. Both of these are important since If you are not interested in what you are writing about it will show through your work and if your reader is not interested in what you are writing about then you will see a lack of traffic and backlinks. If you do either of these you could see a drop in traffic and readers so do your best to keep a constant flow of “good quality” posts. The next thing is to be honest and reliable when posting content. Usually this will require you to do some basic research on your posts so when you make a reference it will be one backed by truth rather than pure opinion. If your readers trust you they will be more likely to spread the word about your blog and if your blog goes viral traffic will no longer be an issue.

As you post every day you may not see an increase in traffic. Once you have 20 or so posts (enough info to keep a reader busy for more than a minute or two) you should hit up the social bookmarking and networking sites. The top bloggers will have a twitter account with the same amount of followers as readers don’t expect this at first and it is ok to use the different programs out there to grow your follower count. After a thousand or two followers I would recommend using only referral means for acquiring followers such as putting your twitter profile link on your blog. It is good to create a facebook and use it to showcase yourself and new posts. Also find a solid list of the top social bookmarking sites and when you come out with a new post be sure to bookmark it on these websites. You can also exchange links with other blogs/websites in your niche.
